Located on Ngunnawal land within the elegant confines of the Midnight Hotel, The Brush & Broom Salon stands as a testament to creativity and self empowerment. We prioritize providing high quality hair services that cater to the unique needs of each individual, celebrating diversity in all its forms.
Our team is dedicated to ensuring that every client feels valued, respected, and beautiful, creating an atmosphere where creativity thrives and self confidence blossoms.
We are currently located in a freelancing space called AJ Hair & Bridal, but the plans for our forever salon are well on the way!
We are a small business still in the process of getting the funding to move forward with a place of our own. Our goal is to build a creative, queer, neurodivergent safe haven! if you would like to contribute to getting the salon up and running, we have a Go Fund Me campaign. Any donation would be greatly appreciated, but no pressure!

The front access is on Elouera Street. There is an accessibility ramp to the left of the front staircase.

Commencing my hairdressing journey in 2009, I have dedicated myself to honing a diverse skillset encompassing cutting, colouring, and styling in the pursuit of a more holistic approach to the profession.
I’ve always wanted my business to reflect our ability to cater to a wide variety of clientele through a multitude of specialized training including barbering, curly cutting, advanced vivid colour training, lash and brow tinting, and even a counselling course!
It’s always been a passion of mine to be able to provide a space that feels cozy and welcoming for everyone, one that is environmentally conscious, neurodivergent compassionate, cruelty free, and that only uses Australian brands. I’m so overjoyed to be able to welcome Canberra to The Brush & Broom salon.
